Laura High, Director of Newmarket insurance broking and underwriting business, Yutree, has been appointed as Deputy Chair of the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA).
BIBA is the voice of the broking sector advising members, the regulators, consumer bodies and other stakeholders on key insurance issues.
BIBA chief executive Steve White said, “I am pleased that Laura has taken up this important role and continues to represent brokers at the highest levels.”
Laura commented: “It’s an honour to become BIBA’s Deputy Chair. I am delighted to be continuing my work on the Board and taking forward the important broker issues on behalf of BIBA’s members.”
Laura is well-known to the membership having represented them regionally since 2014 and has been a Board Director for the last 2 years. Laura now steps up into this role previously held by Julie Page, CEO of global insurance brokers Aon.
By working at the highest level within the trade body representing insurance brokers means that Yutree is at the forefront of broker issues, continually raising standards and professionalism.
