Newmarket-based independent insurance broker, Yutree, are celebrating their tenth anniversary, at the same time as achieving the milestone of handling an impressive £10,000,000 of insurance premium per annum on behalf of their clients. The business started in 2012 with just 4 employees and has grown to a team of 20, operating from Kings Court.

Managing Director, Kevin Hancock said, “Thank you to all of our clients, staff and partners for your continued support, along with the wider Newmarket business community, which has enabled us to reach this key milestone and provide services we are proud to call class-leading.”

Yutree have worked closely with their clients to support them whilst they adapt to ever changing restrictions during the past couple of years alongside difficult economic trading conditions.

Kevin Hancock added, “Our first thought is always for our clients. Yutree’s strength lies in providing guidance to help businesses understand where weaknesses exist in their current insurance arrangements and consider cover those best suits their needs. The pandemic gave us a real opportunity to support businesses when they needed it most. In difficult times we have subsequently demonstrated an enviable ability to attract new clients both locally and further afield.”

Besides our business being local-centric, Yutree has close ties to the city of London and the insurance heartland with access to the UK’s leading insurers including Lloyds of London.

Shortly before the first national lockdown Yutree welcomed its first ever apprentice, Tracy Grew. Following a complete career change and working remotely for 18 months, she has done magnificently well by successfully completing her professional examinations.

Yutree Director, Laura Hancock, commented, “Tracy has learnt the job, supported the team in busy and very unusual times, maintained her studies, and all from home. What an achievement!”

The success of the apprenticeship scheme has resulted in a second person joining the team on the same programme.

Laura continued, “We are enormously proud to call Newmarket our home and within the local community, Yutree continues to be heavily involved with the Newmarket Charitable Foundation and keen supporters of the “Icanbea…” initiative, assisting 16–24-year-olds across Suffolk and Norfolk to gain industry experience. We have also recently sponsored Nomads, Newmarket’s amateur dramatic and musical society”
