Yutree expands into Norwich: A new chapter for our growing broker business

We are proud to announce a significant milestone in Yutree’s journey: the opening of our brand new office in the heart of Norwich.

Located at 19 Upper King Street, our new base marks a strategic expansion into Norfolk – bringing us closer to our clients in the region and reinforcing our commitment to delivering expert, relationship-led insurance advice across East Anglia.

A familiar face at the helm

Leading our Norwich office is newly appointed Director, Peter Foster – a name well known and respected in the city’s insurance community. Peter brings with him decades of experience, having previously built and sold Hugh J Boswell, a Norwich-based broker that had served the city for over 100 years.

Speaking about the move, Peter said:

“This is more than just a new office for Yutree. It’s a return to the market in a city we know well and care deeply about, and an opportunity to build our business there feels right.”

Strengthening our team and strategy

Peter’s appointment is complemented by the addition of Peter Sheppard as a Non-Executive Director. Based in Norwich, Peter is the Managing Director of NES Healthcare UK and a qualified solicitor. He joins Yutree to offer strategic insight and challenge as we grow our footprint and capabilities.

This is not just about geography – it’s about deepening our expertise, evolving our offer, and enhancing the service we provide to our broker and client partners.

Norwich roots, national strength

Yutree is an independent, Chartered insurance broker based in Newmarket, Suffolk, and this expansion into Norwich has a distinctly personal dimension. Managing Director Laura Hancock and CEO Kevin Hancock both have longstanding ties to the city – and are now returning in a professional capacity to support businesses in the area.

“We are very excited for Yutree to become part of the Norwich business community,” said Laura Hancock.

“Norwich is very dear to several of us at Yutree and we are looking forward to helping lots of old friends and new connections with their insurance requirements in the future. We have been bursting to share this news for months!”

Reconnecting with the local community

As part of our renewed presence in Norfolk, we are also delighted to be reconnecting with Wymondham Rugby Club, where Kevin Hancock once played during his time at Wymondham College. The club will be a base for future networking and community events for Yutree clients and partners in the region.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be re-connecting with my old club in Wymondham,” said Kevin.
“I’m looking forward to catching up with new and existing clients at future events there.”
