News roundup: what’s new at Yutree Underwriting

Jul 2, 2019

The first half of 2019 has been very busy for the team at Yutree Underwriting with industry events, new product launches and changes to existing arrangements.

As we continue to expand the product range at Yutree Underwriting, here’s a snapshot of some of our new and enhanced products for brokers:

Professional Risks by Yutree

We have recently gone live with a professional indemnity (PI) offering where we can include employers liability/public liability with the professional indemnity or separately on our liability facility (and property if required). This is a great product that would suit accountants, architects, design & construct trades, estate agents/letting agents, IT consultants, management consultants, media and recruitment businesses and many more occupations.

The insurer backing our new facility is Tokio Marine HCC.

JCT 21.2.1/6.5.1 by Yutree

We are also delighted to have added JCT 21.2.1/6.5.1 cover to our product set and can consider any size of contract. We can provide cover for limits of indemnity of up to a £5m any one claim (larger limits can be considered on referral)

The insurer backing this facility is XL Catlin.

Contractors all risks by Yutree

We have relaunched Contractors all risks by Yutree (CAR) with Hiscox providing sole capacity. Whether your clients are building high rise developments, piling, shaft sinking, cladding, shop fitting, ground working or decorating, we can consider the CAR. Yutree have worked hard on all aspects of our wording and, responding to brokers feedback, have improved many areas including, a reduction in the restrictions on theft from vans cover, providing show home contents cover as standard, increasing inner limits, providing cover for speculative builds and much more. Depending on the nature of clients’ projects, we can provide annual policies or short-period one-off contract cover. We can provide quotations for stand-alone plant and contract works and can consider all manner of plant and machinery including tunnelling equipment, piling rigs, cranes, excavators and much more.

Media and Entertainment by Yutree

Following the recent news that Tokio Marine Kiln are shutting down their non-Lloyd’s operation, we are delighted to confirm that with effect from 1 July 2019 Media and Entertainment by Yutree will be underwritten by Tokio Marine HCC. Whilst our facility remains within the Tokio Marine group which is rated AA- (Very Strong) by Standard & Poor’s, the change to Tokio Marine HCC has given us the opportunity to expand the policy wording to include professional indemnity (including Film/TV errors & omissions) and data breach covers together with the ability to now offer terms for events and festivals, both on a short period or annual basis.

As always if you have any questions or require immediate quotations please contact the team on 01638 660651 or send enquiries to underwriting@yutree.com. We look forward to speaking with you.
